Timbaland - Apologize (feat. One Republic)

Yeah I like this song! It's one of those songs that you will get bored of very quickly, but hey for now I like it.

I will hold my tongue...

Really the internet can be a funny place. I have to remember that things can be taken out of context and it's not the same as meeting someone face to face.

I had a horrible online experience last night on DNforum, but i will let it go and move on.

There's more important things in life. I must remember that.

I'm happy to admit my mistakes and move on, big lesson learnt!

I'm mature enough to do that.

I have learnt the way not to moderate though. As a moderator I will do my utmost to act in a professional manner and will withhold from ever using swearwords. People that feel the need to hurl swearwords, need to learn proper manners.

So cute Blissen

Today I am proud of myself because...

I backed up my forum using php and I also added a chat function using "FlashChat" Flash Chat which required me to update and delete some php files. Actually installing FlashChat was quite easy and so far I'm impressed.

This chat application works with a lot of the popular forums, such as vbulletin, joomla, phpBB etc

It even integrates who's online (see image below)

And also into the vbulleting nav panel

Ugly site though. The interface could be better on flashchat but I am just about to customise it! So I will see how I go.

Ok so I used FlashChat tonight with some users on the forum and have to say I am very impressed so far. I would highly recommend this application. The only thing that bugs me is that it can be a wee bit slow, but that could be because of the host I am with and the deal I have. Also would be nice to see down the bottom " such and such is writing a message" and send files function, but hey who's complaining.

The users love that they can change there interface colours. All and all I give it a big THUMBS UP!!!

What Bliss!!!

Logitech VX Revolution Review from a females perspective

Well I just love this wireless mouse! I would say this mouse would be more suited to women than men. It's not really a laptop mouse, but it's not a large full size mouse either. I would say it's a normal size mouse (or maybe slightly smaller) For me it;s the perfect size and ergonomically well designed. It fits my hand like a glove. When I was shopping around for a mouse, I just found the majority of mouses were way to bulky for my "lady" hands. I want something that I can easily hold without having to stretch my hands around, but at the same time I didn't want a small laptop mouse, as that makes your hands curl up and puts strain on them. But I did know I wanted something ergonomically designed, that curved with the shape of my hand, this mouse does it with such elegance :)

I know one of my work colleagues ( a male tried it out) and although he thought it was great, he did say he would prefer one a bit larger for his size hands.

You can also set a number of functions within the mouse, such as going back and forward on web pages, or program it to go to a specific site like "ebay" when you click a button and much more. You also have a quick zoom in and out button as well as your trusty scroll button. The mouse does heaps more than I have programmed it to do. I just kept with the basics.

The one other thing I love about this is it's wireless drive and how it easily slots into the mouse for easy storage (as well as helping you not loose it). In addition, it closes the mouse off when inserted which saves on battery life.

This is a laser wireless mouse, not an optical mouse. The laser mice are meant to be the best, with much more precision and that's why you will pay a bit extra for it.

Anyway I love this mouse and would give it at 10 out of 10.

Wacom Intuos 3 and Wacom Graphire Review

Ok, so I thought I would do a few tech reviews on Christmas night, because that makes sense right?

So I have had both the Graphire Wacom and the Intous 3 6x8.

The Wacom Graphire (which is now like the Wacom Bamboo fun) is really for an entry level drawing tablet. What it is good for is, basic drawing and retouching (although with hard work you can still pretty amazing things with it). This tablet is also good if you need something to replace a mouse, like if you suffer from RSI (repetitive strain injury). The problem with this tablet is the surface cover, where you draw on is too slippery. I'm not sure if they have improved this design in the bamboo version. The Wacom Bamboo Fun, still looks slippery.

Another thing to consider is then pen, it a cheap version and doesn't have as many functions as the intuos. Plus the pressure sensitivity is not that diverse, compared to the intous pen. However, I did like how slim it was and found it very easy to hold and felt a lot more natural to hold than the Wacom Intuos pen.

If you do decide to go for that graphire I would suggest you get the 6x8 version, if you wanting to draw and retouch. If your just doing to replace a mouse, then you can get the smallest size.

Now to the Wacom Intous 3 6x9. This has a much better surface to work on and the pen doesn't slip and slide. The pen has better line resouloution and has better pressure sensitivity and angles at which the pen can work at. The real down side to the Wacom Intous is the pen. It is way too bulky and the zoom buttton in the middle of the pen makes it very hard to allow your fingers to grab hold of the pen comfortably. In addition, it has a grip padding area, which makes the pen even more bulky. I would say the graphire pen was much better and I personally like that one better. Another thing I find dreadfully annoying is the quick buttons on the tablets, especially the zoom in and out function. I always by accident brush my hand over it whilst drawing and it just zooms in my document, which is really frustrating. You can turn off the function, but really Wacom should of come up with a better design. Probably would of been better at the side of the tablet.

I have the 6x9 tablet and this is sufficient. I wouldn't go any bigger, as you just end up resizing the sketch area, if you don't you will be stretching your hands and arms out too far to sketch.

Overall I would give the Wacom Intous 3

6 out of 10

The Graphire for it's basic functions 8 out of 10.

The day wordpress embeds vimeo video is the day...

I'm outta here!

I can't wait!

It will be BLISS!!!

In other news...

When you type in the company name that I complained of a few post back google (aka my chuck a spaz post) third in the google rankings.

This is something for companies to keep in mind. Bad customer service isn't just confined to one little place, when a customer gets annoyed they don't just keep it to themselves, they tend to tell at least a few friends and family, who then might relay this back to other friends and now we also have the INTERNETS (as george bush would say).

Done all my Christmas Shopping Wrapped Presents

As I am really bored, I am going to post how I wrapped my Christmas presents this year. Lol

bliss

Bliss

I'm trying to understand SEO, which is basically a way of making your site become popular when you type in a keyword in google. For example I want to get my blog to be at the top of google rankings when people type in "Bliss" in google.

To do this you are meant to use a lot of keywords within your blog that use the word "Bliss" and a lot of other technical stuff that I haven't got into too.

There is an art to it though, if you type a lot of the same keywords, without much relevant content, then google will basically block you from page rankings in Google.

So if you see a lot of my post, which have Bliss in it and you wonder why it's there, realize I'm doing a test, to see if it works at all. In fact I would say those google ads down the side will probably change to something to do with "Bliss" if I am right, because google ads reads main keywords in your text and then try to match up with your keywords.

I have a dream - what Bliss

Well my first and ultimate dream is to win the 30 million tatslotto tonight.

My other dream is to work from home in my bed with my laptop sitting on the laptop table that slides over my bed for the rest of my life, whilst making a decent income. PLEASE!!!!

I don't want to work for other people, they suck :P

Ah now that would be Bliss!

In other news I am reading "Building Database-Driven Flash Application" and "Flash MX actionscript for designers". Ok technically I'm not reading, skimming would be a better way to put it;)

HQ coffee girl made me upset today!

So I got of the train today at Parliament station, and for the first time I thought I would try the HQ coffee at the top of parliament station escalator.

So I go and line up, ask the girl for a small latte. I obviously didn't speak up loud enough because she snapped at me, and said "I can't hear you", whilst she was also giving me this nastly look and just staring into my eyes. So I was a bit annoyed and thought well, if she's going to speak to me like that, I will say in a firm and confident tone "small latte" (with a tiny bit of attitude). She continued to just give me that nasty stare. Which I thought was a bit weird.

So anyway she went off to prepare the latte, and I gave the money to the other girl serving and then I went to the end of the counter to pick up my coffee. So the girls finishing it off, and she was putting on the lid begrudgingly, whist still staring at me nastily. I looked back at her, thinking what is her problem. Anyway she handed me my coffee, and somehow part of squirted up through the lid on to me. I'm not sure if I pressed it too hard or she did, but anyway I let out a bit of "sigh", nothing major, just like damn I got it on me, and the sigh wasn't really directed at the girl, even thought it should be because I think she did it on purpose. Anyway, she goes to me "aggghhh, it's not a big deal" and I'm like walking off , licking my arm (te he) and I hear her say out loud to me "get over yourself".

Well at that point I was really annoyed and couldn't believe how rude this girl was, so I went back to her and said, "excuse me, I'm the customer, not you, I don't know what your problem is, but you don't say something like that out a loud to a customer" and then she said "whatever, just get over yourself".

My mouth was open from shock and I will really upset, that someone was speaking to me like that, so I said "right I want speak to your manager" and she was like "she's at the other store over the other side" and then I was like "right well I want your name because I want to report this incident" and she didn't want to give it to me, but I insisted.

She finally gave it up. I didn't have time to go see her manager over at the other side of parliament. So whilst working to work, I phoned up the head office and reported the incident. The woman apologized and said she would pass on the information to the girls manager. She also has given me some free complimentary coffee vouchers.

Ok so maybe it wasn't the end of the world, but I have to say I was really hurt by this girl. She made me so nervous and I felt horrible walking to walk. I don't enjoy confrontations, and it was hard for me to go back and stick it to her, but still I felt justified in doing it.

My cat just doesn't like being photographed

Cats must have a sixth sense, because I tried to photograph my cat about 20 times, and every time he would look away, just as I was about to take the happy snap.

I have to share this again!

I still really love watching this, so I just had to post it again. I can't believe the creator of Vimeo "Jakob Lodwick", no longer is a part of Vimeo, such a shame.

I am a bit of a computer geek!

Yes I've got into the domain name craze. Seems like .mobi's are going off at the moment.

Sedo.com crashed for the first time, due to the popular demand in .mobi's. GAMES.MOBI sold for $401,500, I purchased ITGAMES.MOBI a while back when everyone said .mobi were crapola. Although it's not a completely generic name ITGAMES.MOBI, I still think it's pretty good. I hope I can sell this thing one day soon.

Especially now that mobi's are going off!

I also have mobiles101.mobi for sale as well, but I know that's not as good.

Introducing www.4wrd.com

Yes that's right I've put together a website to try and promote the "better" online competitions in Australia. I have no clue how to get this to work, but at least I'm giving it a try. So vist www.4wrd.com - online prize and competition website.

I thought this was funny

Sick of affiliate marketing spendstuff.com

Yay my personal domain of my blog is finally up BLI-SS.COM

Sheesh that took some time. How easy is it going to be to write in bli-ss.com instead of lychee.blogspot.com or whatever the address was.

Very excited that I got it to work. It took a number of days for me to figure out the right settings.
