I lost a bit of respect for Jakob
Jakob, I've lost a bit of respect for you when your not paying your interns. I don't understand this mentality. I could never not pay someone for doing work for me, no matter what level, age the person is. I don't care how cool, well known, rich, respected you are, if you can't afford to pay an intern then don't have them and if you can afford it, then shame on you! At least give them somthing, other than lunch and travel expenses. Ok end of rant.

I actually believe that this is the practice in the US for interns, it's a non-paid position and used to gain experience.
Like our Work Experience for students.
yeah I know but I still don't agree with it.
