What blogs do you frequently visit?

Here's mine

jakoblodwick.com founder of Vimeo but no longer works there. Really nice guy, very helpful guy.

juliaallison.tumblr.com(but only because I think she's a complete tool, she used to be Jakob's girlfriend. It's like watching "Day's of out lives, with this girl". She certainly loves attention and bagging jakob online and then gets upset when he politely retaliates.)

www.stevepavlina.com/blog/ Self help guru, gained a lot from his insights, helped me to believe in my intuition a lot more

www.j0n.org (just started reading this but, I reckon I will visit it frequently)

www.joshbuckley.net (just started reading his blog as well from J0n.org link, he's a 15 year old entrepreneur

www.thesuperficial.com (love crappy gossip, much more funnier than perezhilton.)

diet blog My personal diet blog "dietblock.com"

Puffed up job titles on blogs = Wanky

I came across a blog tonight that had their position title in their banner heading. I just think people do that are wanky. Like they want you to know they are important. The truth is they're probably nothing and just need to feel like they're something.

I'm mean it's ok if you say, "Jo Blo and I design or I'm an entrepreneur" or whatever, but "Jo Blo, director of sales" just seems well wanky!!!! This wasn't from a middle aged person either it was a young person working for quite a creative "layed back" company.

Brilliant! Steve Jobs Apple and pixar animation founder motivational speech!

This is an amazing motivational speech by Steve Jobs Apple and pixar animation founder. It really gave me a boost, to really do what I want to do in life. To follow my dream, not someone elses and go with your gut instinct. This is something that has become quite apparent to me over the last 6 months. So to hear this speech just reinforced my beliefs.

Who uses Facebook?

I have an account, but I don't visit it very often. I just don't get it. It just seems like a time waster, with people posting silly images, like a dog and a cat kissing.

I did however, have a highs chool friend contact me the other day through it, and that was nice to hear from her, but apart from that I just don't like it.

Sure you could say, I time waste on the net anyway, but I think I do more constructive things online. A lot of what I do online is learning about people and business.

I wonder if my blog was better when I was more reflective?

Just wondering if my blog was better, earlier on in the piece? It was much more reflective about who I am, and what I thought of myself and how I could better myself. In the last few months I have just been light hearted and posting pictures of cute bunnies and reviewing wacom tablets - lol!

I suppose it's just the phase I am in at the moment I don't want too look too deep into myself. I just want to skim over the surface as they say...

Can you believe it, I have kept up with this blog for a year!

I can't believe it, I never thought I would write online for a year. That's amazing! At least I know I can stick to something. I tend to get rather bored of routine, you see.

Can I just say I hate this blog design!

I much prefer my tumblr.com that I started a while back, but didn't continue with because it doesn't have comments. Not that I get any comments, from anyone but mamajj.

I am going to move this blog over to wordpress, but I just need to put the design together.

This site design doesn't represent me in the slightest.

I wish I could start up my own gossip site!

I reckon I would be good as a gossip columnist. If perezhilton can make money, with crappy one liners with stupid drawings over the photo, why can't I? I just don't know the legalities of showing celebrity photos. Do these gossip sites pay for the pictures or do they just swipe them. I wonder? Something to think about.

Enough already with the cute bunnies!

You Suck at Photoshop - You do!

If you missed this on the front page of bli-ss.com well here it is...
This is totally my humour. I just lurve to laugh!

It's official I am a computer geek or is that internet geek?

Having had two conversations today with family members, who said "your always on the computer" and "you seemed to be attached to your laptop (mac book pro)", I kind I went all red. Like what the hell...I've become this day and night computer geek. You know what I can thank my dad for that! At the ripe age of like 7 or 8 I remember my dad purchasing our first computer. Ah those were the days...I remember faintly my first computer game, it had something to do with cats and rubbish bins and the whole screen was like pink - lol! I think that was when monitors only one shade of colour at a time, like green, red and blue. I wish I remembered that game, it was cool. Anyway, not long after I progressed to pacman, tetris and bubble bobble! And then later, Police and Space Quest - lol!

Also my dad was a computer programmer and then later network engineer. He was always trying to show me stuff on the computer. I remember when I first worked through some Dos code/function to get some information. I felt kind of proud of myself, I was probably about 9. Not that I get into coding that much, but I kind of know my way around. Then there was the internet at about 13. I wasn't really into the internet back then. I remember my dad coding up a web page (I think the family history or something) and I was like "yeah whatever". If only I had payed attention back then, and looked into domains (which were free back then) I could of purchased all the fancy domain names and sold them for a gizillion dollarss. Oh the regrets ;)

I was never really into the internet until probably when I purchased my first dial-up internet connection, which was probably about 5 years ago! Curse you again "the internets", for getting me hooked!

Am I annoyed that I am addicted to the web and my computer, no not really. I could think I worse things to do. Plus, I feel like I learn heaps online. It's my own little encyclopedia of knowledge. I don't do, chat sites though, that's not me, but I do talk to people through forms, where I develop "online friendships". I say "online friendships", because for some reason when you meet people face to face it just not always the same connection...sometimes yes...sometimes no. Anyway, off, off and away to geekdom I say!

To balance out my geekdom, here's a photo I took the other day for a project, but never used.

Damn why doesn't blogger get their act together and get an edit function with the entry and why picture always go to the top of the post, when you put your cursor at the bottom of page...friggin...friggin!

My 30 day diet block challenge

Today I'm starting a challenge to get fit, eat healthy and lose weight.

I've started up Diet Block, a place where I can blog about my journey but other people can join too if they want. I'm hoping by blogging about it, will make it more real and will help me stick to it, compared to if I just promised myself.

So if your interested in following my journey, or you want to document your own just pop over to Diet Block

Forget Youtube use Vimeo - it's so much better!!!!

Go to VIMEO for all your video needs!

Better quality video, great videos and colloborations from online members and you can upload HD videos.

You know what's bugging me?

That FlashChat image a few post back. It's ruining my site's aesthetics - lol!

Look ma no more tables

I just finished a website design and putting it together in HTML with CSS (cascading style sheets). CSS means you know longer work with tables (very problematic).

It's funny I did a few sites with CSS a few years ago and I kind of got there but was lost with what I was doing. This time over when opening up my old design and rehashing code, it made a whole lot of sense and came to realise it's much easier than tables. You have a lot more control. I also was able to do a contact page utilizing php. I initially outsourced the contact page, because it was taking me too long to nut out. Someone did it for me and did a good job (although didn't look good in IE6, but since I redid the whole site in css I decided to do the contact page as well to see if I could come up with a better result and the outcome, was it looked the same on all browsers!

So now I'm going to get css the definitive guide, so I can get a real grip of CSS.
