The Science of Sleep
I'm a big fan of Michelle Gondry. If you don't know who he is, he has directed heaps and heaps of video clips like daft punk, white stripes, Kayne West, Foo Fighers and many more. His great directing debut was Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind, which I really loved. Actually I think he directed another film in France before that, but I guess Spotless Mind was more his first commerical venture into films.
The Science of Sleep was written and directed by Gondry and I thought it was a bit boring to be honest. If you have the works of Gondry DVD (highly recommend getting it), it's kind of like that, but as a movie. I think Gondry must have a magnificent mind, but that doesn't necessarily equate to an interesting story for the rest of the world. Take away the quirky animations and bizarre dream sequences and well it's not that interesting.

I had a dream
It was to do with me having a thing for an actor, he's been in quite a few shows. At the moment he's in desperate housewives playing Eva Logorez's boyfriend/or husband. I don't know exactly as I don't watch the show. We were travelling on a train, like the orient express.
The weird thing is I haven't seen the show and I probably flicked to an episode a few weeks ago very briefly with him in the scene. Then I wake up and turn on the TV and there he is in the commercial - weird ayye!
I also know why I couldn't be bothered doing anything in the last few days, I'm coming down with a cold I think. It's at the stage where your heads all foggy.

This blog, is really about my daily life and things I want to get out on a more personal level.
So I'm not going to talk about digi scrap on it from now on. You can see all that in my other blog, which is on the side.

Viewers damn Kotex beaver ad
This ad kind of annoyed me not so much for the ad itself, but the reluctance for the company to get off their high horse about market research for their target audience. Yeah sure, you might be directing this ad to a target audience of 18-24 year olds, but that's not to say your gonna get a different demographic looking at it. Seriously marketing people need to get off their high horses.

Woohoo thank you Jason Calacanis for being honest about affiliate marketing :)
This is what I was trying to say in my post a few post down. Affiliate marketing bubble will burst if people are not careful.

Technorati - for bloggers

So if you're wondering what Technorati is all about and how come I have a favorite button on my blog, it basically a social bookmarking tool for bloggers. It's a way to keep in the loop with bloggers and lets face it another way to get your page ranking up. I haven't quite figured it all out yet, but basically the more authorities (people that link your blog on their blog) the more popular you become. I think! It also enables you see who is linking up to you, whereas before you could not. Which is good if you want to see the kind of audience you are attracting, if any - he he! Yes well I don't have much of an audience, but that's ok.
It has a pretty extensive directory of blogs and of course the shit hot blogs are shown on the front page, you know the blogs that attract millions of people per day.
Now you have to update your post with what they call "ping", which I guess just takes your new post on your blogs and lets people out there know it's updated. I can't quite understand why it's not done automatically, but hey rome wasn't built in a day, was it?
Now to be honest I think technorati, for such a large site still has a lot of bugs to iron out. The navigation is just terrible in my opinion, to get to the pinging section can be quite complicated. The FAQ are not the best either and I couldn't really get a brief simple synopsis to explain what technorati actually is all about. It just talks about what blogs are about -dir hello, I think most people know what blogs are about, especially if there going to more in depth site like technorati. The forum area is pretty bad as well, there's no order or sections to it.There's also problems with updating images. So I don't know they better get on their feet and fix stuff or people will lose interest. Still you might want to check it out and get involved in the next big social bookmarking site (if you even call it that),
